I recently visited my friend who had her 4th little one, a beautiful baby girl. Grace is absolutely precious and so loved by her parents and siblings. I didn’t get much time with the little one or the family but I wanted to post a few photos from our shoot on the blog.
I hope you’ll enjoy these captured moments.

I’ve had quite some time off and really enjoyed every minute of it, some things we’ve made sure to fit in is visiting friends and visiting parks and sometimes getting these two to coincide. My good friend has a lovely park near her home and not only is it brand new and in pristine condition but also quite unpopulated. So we really enjoy visiting it. The photo above is taken from the park looking down over a farm house and the neighborhood. I’ve been here only 2 times but each time this scene really catches my eye so it was only natural that I would want to capture it on film (CF card).
below: my oldest is looking up at me after climbing up on this rope structure… I’m telling him to stop shaking it because he was shaking me and I had the hardest time keeping my camera still. He finds it so hilarious that he is shaking his mom all over the place and that is how this photo came to be
bellow: this little dude is the son of one of my oldest and dearest friends and since we were hanging out together and my camera was handy I just had to capture his sweetness again.
and since it’s already September 5th and fall is just around the bend, I will treasure each sunny day we have in the forecast because as I live in the NW Autumn for us means lots of clouds and showers.

My littlest is 9 months old… It’s hard to believe that 9 months have already gone by. He has grown leaps and bounds since day one and there were points where I couldn’t wait for him to grow a little more quickly and reach some stages (to make my life more comfortable). But now looking back, these 9 months went by way too fast and I know want to stop time. I look back at photos of him and just how tiny he was and I’m realizing that I will never get those back. Since we don’t plan on having any more children there is also that feeling of sadness over the fact that I will never again hold my own new born again. Yeah so there is all that and then there is all this…
Joy at how happy my littlest angel is. This child is so silly so smily so sweet and so giggly. He puts a smile on all our faces and when we see his little face beaming from ear to ear his joy becomes contagious. He has grown a lot, he is 19 pounds and I can’t quite remember how many inches in length at the moment, I think 29 but I’ll have to check on that, but it sounds like the number I remember the nurse mentioning. He does eat quite a bit but seems to be only 25% for weight and 40% for height. Doc wasn’t concerned with this so I won’t be either. Luke eats solids like a pro and honestly there is not one food he will reject. His schedule includes on jar of solids after wake up time and one 6oz bottle of milk before nap/bed time. He seems to be good about telling me when he has had enough food, I feed him until he closes his mouth and when I bring the food to him he just won’t open no matter how much I try. He has gotten pretty good at feeding himself with both bottle and picking up pieces of food and putting them in his mouth. He is really learning how to use his pinchers.
His crawling is slowly progressing he goes a few moves on his hands and knees before getting back on his belly and sliding around like a little worm. He doesn’t clap which I remember Seth taking a while in doing because I just don’t remember teaching either of them. He talks a lot he’ll just be sitting on the couch and all of a sudden just starts to jibber jabber as if he is trying to tell us something, although we don’t understand his little language it honestly looks like he is trying to communicate with us.
Sleep is good, after 4 days of teething and waking up every 2 hours he is officially back at sleeping through the night. He has been struggling with a runny nose since his last Hep B vaccine a week ago. Doctor doesn’t seem to think it’s vaccine related, the only symptom he has is a runny nose, no elevated temp, no coughing, rash or redness or anything else. My friend suggested possible allergies and it’s gotten me thinking that maybe he has an allergy to something and the only thing that took place at the time of this change is the vaccine. If it doesn’t go away in the next couple of days I’ll need to re-evaluate his situation and go see his doctor.
The Collages bellow:
a. b & w – photos go from day 1 to months 3, 6, and 9. I love seeing how he has grown in these few months.
b. color – photos taken this weekend at a seafood restaurant, Luke loved the clam chowder he could not get enough.
My sweetie is really doing wonderful and I couldn’t be more grateful for the precious gift I’ve been given. I thank God everyday for my children and pray for their health and happiness every moment I think of it. Looking forward to enjoying each moment with my kiddos and especially love looking back at these milestone.

Luke is almost there… I’m talking about crawling. His big brother managed to accomplish to crawl exactly on his 9 month birthday. Luke is 7 days away from his own 9 month birthday and I think maybe he will make it. So far he manages to shuffle backwards so much so that he can manage to move all around a room that way. Just yesterday here at the house were staying in Sunriver there’s a chair that is raised off of the floor I didn’t think anything of that chair until I walked out of the room to head to the kitchen for a half a minute only to walk back into the adjacent living room and find the room completely empty. There’s literally no where he could have gone but I didn’t see him right away under the chair and my heart did panic for a second or two. I yelled for Chris but then I realized ok he could not have gotten up and walked off, he’s here somewhere. So I got on his level and there he was just laying down under the chair pretty much waiting for me to notice him. What a funny little person he is. Here’s evidence of his attempts but so far no forward movement only backwards oh and of course rolling all over the room.
I will definitely post when he progresses to forward movement…

in Sunriver OR for a few days and we are having ourselves some good old fun. the days seem to stretch out before us without any real planned activities we go with the flow and the only plan is to have as much FUN as possible.
here’s a group of photos I got of little Luke enjoying him some watermelon. He had so much fun and really loved the taste and texture of watermelon -well for the most part. I really enjoyed watching him get all messy and discover how to use his hands to feed himself. He is doing that every day now with different types of foods and his dexterity is improving with each time he gets to practice. It’s crazy to think about how he used to not be able to eat anything other than milk and now he’s capable of having everything (almost). He’s growing up my baby…

I felt so honored when my dear friend asked me to take some photos of her and the two men in her life. I mean to say that this friend was instrumental in my discovery of the art of photography is putting it mildly. I was super excited to do this shoot and just a little nervous if I’m gonna be very honest. Knowing that she was a photographer herself I felt the pressure that I would really need to deliver some awesome photos.
Well I did my best and I am very happy with the turnout and I know she was happy with the outcome as well. I really appreciated how helpful she was by knowing exactly what type of photos she wanted and posing was such a breeze because of this. Another factor that made this shoot that much more enjoyable was that her little one was extremely cooperative for the whole shoot which ended up being much longer than we both had anticipated. Yeah for Bud!

this little one is a sweetheart just as I know all little ones are, especially your own… his smile is so contagious and the way his big bro can make him laugh is something I just can’t get enough. I have a feeling that Luke is gonna make us laugh A LOT!!!
this photo is not the best just the most recent, taken in our family room with high ISO. I was messing around with my camera settings and Luke just happened to be my victim, his older brother was asleep.
here are some cute photos taken with a point and shoot on our deck a couple of days ago…
can you tell how much he has grown? ck this out from month one and two:

Today I had the privilege to photograph baby Renzo. I did a photo shoot for his momma when she was pregnant with Renzo, you can see that here. Baby Renzo is a little cutie and so absolutely sweet, his mom worked really hard to put together some of these props for us. She was really wanting a more vintage styled shoot. I hope she likes what we did here.

Yesterday I atended a baby shower for a very dear friend of mine. I can’t describe how happy I am for her and her husband and the baby boy they are expecting in September. I pray God will bless her with all that her heart desires and answers every prayer she has according to his plan for their lives. Here are the photos I took, I hope it portrays at least in part what a wonderful time was had by all…
